WDA Faculty
WDA is fortunate to have talented and caring faculty. All of our classroom teachers have Washington State certification or the appropriate early childhood education qualifications and a significant number have earned advanced degrees. Our Middle School Math/Science teacher has twice been awarded Science Teacher of the year by state organizations and has also participated in scientific researchs in the Kuril Islands of Russia, which she incorporated into her classroom curriculum. One of our Intermediate teachers recently presented a workshop on democracy in the classroom at Whatcom Community College. Our Early Childhood lead teacher serves as President of the Association for the Education of Young Children. All of our faculty are engaged in continued professional development activities.
